This guest house oozes charm with its historical railway-themed decor and unique setting in an old station. Breakfast features local dishes cooked fresh, and the rooms offer a comfy retreat with various tea and coffee options, all nestled in tranquil gardens.
The decor leans heavily towards the dated side, with some rooms showing wear that may not suit modern tastes. Expect the occasional train disturbance during your stay. it adds character for some but could disrupt sleep for others. A few squeaky beds can make for a restless night, and unreliable Wi-Fi may challenge those needing to stay connected.

Perfect stopover after the wedding!
Had a fab time here! The owner, Pat, was super friendly and served us a tasty brekkie. Our double room was spacious with a nice en-suite, and I enjoyed the train sounds as I drifted off. Only thing was, the freight trains do pass by at night but if you love trains like me, it’s a plus! great vibe and comfy beds.

The room view could have been enhanced. it lacked any standout features.

Had a lovely stay here, especially enjoyed the great breakfast and the cozy room with a huge shower! It's a perfect place to unwind with plenty of tea options and complimentary cookies. The train sounds were oddly relaxing. Just a heads-up, the decor feels a bit retro, but it added to the charm, so definitely give it a try! 😊

Charming stay with a delightful host
I had a wonderful one-night stay here while attending a wedding nearby. The host, Pat, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making my experience feel special. The decor may be a bit dated, but the cleanliness and comfort of the spacious en-suite room more than made up for it. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. The only thing that could be improved is perhaps some soundproofing from the nearby trains, but I found the train noise charming and soothing.
